Recently Racism in America and Rape in Nigeria has surfaced which is a slap and threat to humanity. In Nigeria, the life of our women and girls are no more secured due to the recent cases of #Rape.
In respect to that, I and some concerned individuals in collaboration with NGOs like Association Against Child Sexual and Gender Based Violence, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Initiative, Chaired by Amb. Mrs Christie Iwezor who is the coordinator of Rivers State chapter.
We carried out a peaceful protest against Rape ongoing the 11th of June 2020 from Nigerian Union of Journalist, state house of assembly and Nigerian Police State command. We met the commissioner of police who gave us his words they are not left out, they are doing all they can to stop Rape and castrat the perpetrators.
Am convinced that together we shall overcome this evil act and #SayNoToRape
