My role on the World Clean Up Day 2020

It was World Clean Up Day 2020. I and my Team  marked this great day 19th Sept., 2020 with the world in order to  encourage everyone that our environment matters a lot to us both as human and animal. The cleanup exercise took place at Rumuomasi Market. Port Harcourt We were able to cover the whole market and gathered 20 filled bags of waste. You can imagine how trash has taken over our markets  After the cleanup, We inspected the market with the Market executives and we discovered the  market was neat, We had interaction with traders and they appreciated our efforts, while we  encouraged them to always keep their environment neat to avoid increase of contacting or increase  the spread of disease. The chairman of the market told us that he has always taking it as a  responsibility to see that traders keep their environment neat to avoid Environmental officers  monitoring them. In order to make the event a success, some of our members contributed greatly, the State  coordinator Mr. Precious Obiora brought Some PPEs used, Mr Karo and Mr Emeka contributed  and organized lite refreshment for participants Alongside a picture of the collected rubbish, which includes Plastic bottle, paper bags, nylon bags,  cigarette, cans and other waste material.

I am delighted I was able to carryout this project as my our way of given back to the society because we are in this together as we continue to advocate for healthy environment and combat climate change
