Title: No is No Medium: charcoal on cartridge paper YOP: 2020

"I said no" that was all she said. Men should delete the ideology that a no can be change after a while. When a lady says #NO yes it is "no" when you keep asking it becomes a threat.

During the pandemic there was an outbreak of rape and the victim are being killed here in the south-western part of Nigeria, it was so pathetic that the founder of Life After Abuse Foundation an organization I volunteer for the person of Halima Layeni, organized an online seminar "Consent culture" targetted to educate and enlighten people especially men about "consent" it was an educative section.

I learnt there that Her No is No.

Hello Joshua,
I am so glad to read what you say here, that if we say "no" it becomes a threat when a man keeps asking. It is so good to know that you volunteer for Life After Abuse Foundation. There are men like you who do not yet have the courage to speak out, as you are doing. A true, young brother.

Joshua, I truly appreciate your artwork and your dedication to education your community that "No is no." I think it is equally important, as you mention, that consent is critical. I would even emphasize that partners should seek (and provide) ENTHUSIASTIC consent in order to validate that both sides are willing and interested. Thanks for your contribution to this important topic.

Dear Joshua,
Everyone should stand up against rape. And thank you for joining the ranks who are working to end violence against women everywhere. We have a lot of work to do to educate more men, to reach out to them and inculcate in their minds that No is No. Hope your organization will be able to reach these men and boys.
Thanks for sharing your story.

Dear Joshua,

Thank you very much. And if the men could for once imagine it was their daughters and mothers and sisters being raped like that by another man, I think they wouldn't try to rape anyone ever again.
Secondly, I honour you advocacy like this because hmmm especially in this our Africa, we need more men to stand by up to advocate against Rape ooooooo.
No indeed is simply NO
Thanks for sharing and keep sharing boo
