A l'occasion du mois de la femme, je viens partager cette petite réflexion avec toutes les femmes africaines en générale et en particulier les femmes "kivutiennes" (femme de la région du Kivu à l'Est de la RD Congo).

Debout femme kivutienne levain de Paix revient à nous questionner…
Levain ? Pourquoi levain ?
Alors il faut chercher à comprendre pour qui la femme levain de paix.
Comme il est bien connu le rôle du levain de d’activer une certaine réaction dans pate.
Et pour comprendre la femme africaine (Kivutienne en particulier) comme levain de paix il faut essayer de comprendre la paix comme une culture en Afrique.
Dans la culture africaine la femme joue un rôle très capital. Elle est l’éducatrice et les chaleurs du foyer. Elle est le parent la plus proche des enfants. Elle initie la culture et les habitudes aux enfants.
Disons, elle est agent principal de l’éducation de base des enfants.
Alors ca serait quoi son rôle dans la construction de la paix et la cohésion sociale ?
Ce la reviens donc à chercher à comprendre la problématique de la paix.
Le plus souvent, la paix en Afrique est plus vue comme une question de culture. Si la mère est donc l’agent principal qui transmet la culture aux enfants, alors elle a le devoir de transmettre la culture de la paix aux enfants car pour espère à un monde de paix, il faut investir dans l’enfance en les initiant à une culture de paix et de justice. Ainsi la RD Congo pourra compter sur une génération prochaine assoiffée de cultiver la paix.

DEBOUT FEMME KIVUTIENNE LEVAIN DE PAIX

For Women’s History Month, I would like to share this small thought with all African women in general, but in particular the women from the Kivu region in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The name “Debout femme kivutienne levain de paix” (Kivu women standing, the yeast of peace) makes us wonder… why yeast? We must seek to understand why women are the yeast of peace. As is well known, the role of yeast is to activate a certain reaction in dough. And to consider African women (those from Kivu, in particular) as the yeast of peace, we must try to see peace as a culture in Africa. In African culture, women play a crucial role. They are teachers and the warmth of the home. They are the closest parent to their children. They teach children culture and customs. They are the main provider of children’s basic education. So what is their role in building peace and social cohesion? This brings us back to our seeking to understand the issue of peace. More often than not, peace in Africa is seen as a matter of culture. If mothers are then the main teacher of culture to children, it is their duty to teach the culture of peace to children because hope for a peaceful world comes from investing in children and teaching them a culture of peace and justice. In this way, the Democratic Republic of the Congo will be able count on a next generation that is thirsty for building peace. As we say, “those who want peace prepare their children.”
