La pauvre Bwira

Elle s’appelle Bwira, elle est née à Kitchanga, à l’âge de 16 ans, elle a été violé par un garçon du village et sa famille qui ne connaissait pas la loi sur le mariage des mineurs a obligé le violeur de la prendre en mariage.
Elle est tombée enceinte et malheureusement elle a accouché une fille aveugle.
Après une année et demie, elle tombée encore enceinte et comme le malheur ne vient jamais seul, elle a encore accouchée d’une autre fillette aveugle.
Le village l’a traité de sorcière, elle a été marginalisée et toutes les femmes du village ne voulaient plus l’approcher.
Finalement elle a été chassée du village et venu s’installer ici à Goma, elle a été identifié par notre organisation lorsqu’elle faisait la ronde de la ville avec ses deux fillettes aveugle entrain de demander l’aumône.
Nous l’avons encourager à apprendre la coupe et couture et nous avons remarqué que c’est une fille très intelligente.
Son mari est malade, il a attrapé l’hernie dicital et ne peut pas travailler.
Après la formation de six mois, elle a maitriser la coupe et couture et elle est capable d’exercer ce métier pour prendre en charge sa famille.
Si je vous partage la vie de Bwira, c’est pour que vous puissiez nous faciliter sa réinsertion économique en lui dotant d’une machine et quelques accessoires pour sauver la vie de cette famille vulnérable et pour éviter à ces pauvres aveugles la peine d’être trainée partout pour la recherche de la ration familiale.

POOR BWIRA

Her name is Bwira, she was born in Kitchanga. At the age of 16, she was raped by a boy from the village and her family who did not know the law about minors’ marriage obliged the rapist to take her in marriage.
She got pregnant and unfortunately gave birth to a blind girl.
After a year and a half, she was pregnant again and as misfortune never comes just alone, she had another blind baby girl.
The village called her a witch, she was marginalized and no woman in the village wanted to approach her.
Eventually she was driven out of the village and came to settle here in Goma. She was identified by our organization when she was making the round of the city with her two young blind daughters asking for alms.
We encouraged her to learn cutting and sewing and we noticed that she is a very smart girl.
Her husband is sick, he is suffering from slipped disc and cannot work.
After six months training, she mastered cutting and sewing and able to exert this work to support her family.
I am sharing Bwira's story with you, so you can help facilitate her economic reintegration, giving her a sewing machine and few accessories to save the life of this vulnerable family and to save these poor blind girls the pain of being dragged everywhere to look for food for the family.
