Having lived in a family where gender balance is kept silence, witnesses girlchild treated as though they are not human beings. Growing up and realising both boys and girls we should be equal in all aspects of life. Thus, discouraging the so called discrimination in the community and encourages the community to treat each and everyone has being special person before anything else. Girls are human creatures who needs special treatment in all aspects of life.

Dear Juliet,
Welcome to World Pulse. You are in the right place for the advocacy of the rights of the girl and women, really. Pushing against ingrained traditions and cultural perceptions of the girl child can feel like an uphill battle, but we have to keep pushing even if we change the life of one girl at a time, and it is good to hear that you see the need, and are working on solutions against discrimination with your voice and your community awareness/skills.
Wishing you all the best and we look forward to getting to know you a bit more through your future posts.

Dear Juliet,
We are all the stronger knowing that your outspoken voice is here with us. We are breaking this silence together. No matter how many times we are told that we are expecting too much, or that "this is just the way that life is", we know from each other that we are here to undo generations of injustice, together. A big welcome to World Pulse!

Hello, Juliet,

Welcome to World Pulse! I'm happy that a new voice from Uganda is rising up. :)

You are right. Community members should have strong values against discrimination. This begins at home and shold be modeled by the adults. It's easier said than that, but raising awareness is one good step to take. Thank you for raising your voice on this issue.

We want to more about you! I hope you can connect with our sisters here.

Welcome again to our growing sisterhood!
