The community must be engaged in the fight against Covid-19. It is long overdue, let's use the participatory communication approach to engaged opinion leaders in our communities in the fight against the novel virus. Let's change the strategy, involve the chiefs, Assembly Members, Teachers, Religious Heads and other opinion leaders in each community. This approach makes it easier, especially in contact tracing. These leaders have a better way of communicating and controlling their subjects than the even the security personnel.
Anxiety is setting in and people are becoming agitated. Victims of suspected cases are being stigmatised and this will discourage people from reporting cases.
