My name is Mary Wangu Muriuki. I am a 29yr old woman who grew up in East Africa. I grew up well and completed my two years course in electrical and electronics technology. Here is where all started when I tried to find job but I couldn't find because am a woman and the electrical work is mostly done by men. I went ahead and tried to work in a construction site where everybody could notice me. I was humiliated and after working in several sites I decided to quit... Now I work as a house maid to see if I can be able to raise money and start my own company where women will be valued and given jobs. I always talk with girlchild and give them a word of advice.I would love to see women given chances to show there capability and skills

Hello Mary,

Welcome to World Pulse! This is sad, dear, but don't give up. I think once you are supported by other women on World Pulse, especially in your region, you will be lifted up and find the perfect opportunity for you! It may not be where you think it is. Perhaps you're meant to keep encouraging girls. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your vision, and more about what you're passionate about.

Hang in there. XX

You're welcome, dear! Oh, wow! That's awesome. I love your vision. We, at World Pulse, will help support you with your mission.

What baby steps can you take now to make your vision a reality, even if it's seems impossible? If you have the vision, it's very much possible.

Kababu,
Welcome to World Pulse, you have come to the right place to speak your dreams! I share your dream to see women and girls given chances to show their expertise. I am angry that you were forced to quit your job. Your skills in electrical engineering and technology is so powerful and needed for the world - I believe one day soon you will find the place to apply those skills! There are many places to find more skilling opportunities and jobs for women in technology and I can share some if you are interested!
Love!
