The Invincible CODIV-19

The invincible CODIV-19

I may be miniscule

I may be invisible

Underestimate me at your own peril. I am a mighty!

I have defied scientists and medical professionals

I am CODIV-19

The global pandemic of the Twenty-first century

I am deadly! Deadly!

I am merciless

I respect no borders

I am the great equalizer

I do not discriminate based on:

Country, class, race, age, gender, ethnicity,

Political opinion, religion,

Nationality or sexual orientation

I do not pick and choose:

Princes, religious or global leaders

Men, women or children,

Whites, blacks, Americans, Africans

Indigenous people, Hispanics or Latinos

Rich or poor, learned or uneducated

I kill. Kill. Kill. Kill

My capacity to wreak havoc on society and the economy is boundless

I am CODIV-19

By the time my wrath is assuaged, the world will not be the same

Posterity will never forget me

Protect yourselves. Wash your hands often. Keep out of my way. Stay home. Be safe and healthy.

Thanks for your kind words. My family and I are safe and sound. Your presence here tells me that yours are safe too, although CODIV-19 has not been gracious to your country.

Thanks once again. Be safe.

Dear Kabahenda,
Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem that carefully describes this Covid 19 pandemic. This is a strong reminder that we are all the same and this virus has proved this fact very well. We need to stand and support each other.
Thank you so much for sharing and I pray that you are staying home and staying safe.
Have a blessed weekend.

Thank you very much. We are indeed interconnected and we did not need this terrible virus to remind us of that.

I am glad to know that you are safe and that Uganda has so far been spared the ravages of this virus. Keep safe.
