Save Faith

Update On Save Faith.........

It's another wonderful week I trust you all are doing great.....To everyone who has supported and willing to support the #SaveFaithProject God bless you all.

Yeah as usual, on Thursday 11th, July 2019, I visited Faith at the residence of Mrs Adewunmi. I left there after exchanging pleasantries, I was halfway home when I received a distress call from Mrs Adewunmi that she can no longer accommodate Faith due to the fact that her relatives and neighbours were gossiping about her that she brought in a girl to assist even when she herself can barely fend for her children. 

Hmmmmm....Yesterday 12th of July, 2019, I went to pick Faith at Mrs Adewunmi's residence and the search for an orphanage or a home for her began. Fortunately, I was directed to Ozanam Catholic home for the homeless at Agidingbi Ikeja, where they provide shelter and other assistance to young pregnant homeless women who are vulnerables.

Moving Forward, after a long back and forth communication with myself and the Reverend Sister at the Catholic home, Faith was accepted on conditions which will be attached to the post for us to see. They requested for police extract, Court affidavit, another payment for anti-natal, tests, and delivery fee. They also promised to help Faith locate her family after delivery and also place her on acquisition skill of her choice.

Note: The test that was previously done from the Redeem maternity center was not accepted at Ozanam Catholic Mission Home. So she would have a re-run.

=The delivery fee at Ozanam Catholic Home is 40,000 on the high side due to the fact that they have specialists who will be attending to Faith... 

= Feeding fee at the Ozanam Catholic Home of 15,000 per month was waived for us.

= Delivery items was also waived because we have gotten some..But we still need some baby clothes.

= Faith can only be there for 3 - 6months to wean her child, and learn some skills, till they are able to connect her back to her family.

= Every person in the home has a sponsor, who is responsible for their upkeep, so same will be for Faith..which I was able to stand in.

= All required documents, Police report, court affidavit, guardianship form at the home has been submitted..Faith has a legal backup for staying at the home.

= A sum of 30,000naira was deposited at Ozanam Catholic home, for Faith's anti-natal, tests, and partial delivery fee, which we will need to balance up.

Finally, Faith Twanggwim was officially handed over by me at Ozanam Catholic home for the homeless at exactly 9:49pm 12th of July, 2019.

It is not over until it is over.....creating safe space for everyone is everybody's business....No one should be left behind.
