In this age of digital technology, distance is no longer an issue.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, I called for support from family and friends to participate in the online campaign to celebrate women worldwide.

This year’s IWD theme is #balanceforbetter, while World Pulse’s is #NewStoryForWomen, together with its tagline #LogOnRiseUp.

Among those I’ve invited to participate, three wonderful women sent me their photos in solidarity of these global campaigns.

To honor them for setting aside time to show support, I will feature them here.

On the first photo is Irish Jane Saniel. She is a Project Assistant on PISOLAR (Payment Innovation for Solar Home System Ownership by Lay Away Routine)  under Department of Science and Technology-Collaborative Research and Development to Leverage Philippine Econt (DOST-CRADEL Program).

On the second photo is Lacely Peñales. She is an Administration Staff of the Knowledge & Technology Transfer Division under the Research and Development Extention of the University of Southeastern Philippines.

On the last photo is Kaycee Quiñones. She is my sister who is an English As A Second Language Teacher in Osaka, Japan.

Let us celebrate these women who never quit during their most challenging days, but decided to build a better and balanced future whatever career path they choose.

Dear Karen,
Thank you so much for bringing into the lime light what these brave women are doing in your community. Do extend my congratulatory message to them and a hug of friendship and sisterhood. Love from Cameroon.

Hello, Sister Geraldine,

It is my pleasure to feature women on my World Pulse space. Yes, I will extend your greetings to them. I hope they can read this, too.

Thank you for your heartfelt encouragement .

Maybe you can do the same for the women in Cameroon? Hugs from the Philippines, too.
