World Pulse began with a dream of this visionary woman who dared to listen to women's imprisoned voices more than the noises of the status quo. We are surely grateful that Jensine took hold on her dream and birthed it into a reality.

The concept of safe online space for women is a remarkable idea. World Pulse succeeded in making this happen. How is it possible to bring together thousands of woman from all corners of the world, raised in diversified faith and culture, speaking different languages?

From time immemorial, society taught us "birds of the same feather flock together". Instead of forming connections, women were grouped according to personal preferences, religion, skin color, nationality, body types, and a list of so many categories that build divisions.

As women, we innately crave for conversations and connections, but society made us believe we need to be perfect before we can be heard. If we dare speak up, we are asked, " Who do you think you are?".

On World Pulse, we found solace to share our stories. As we share our journey, and "listen" to other sisters, we discover how similar our experiences are, and we learn to set aside the divisions created by politics, religion, stereotypes, discrimination, and cultural differences. We learn to celebrate being a woman. We acknowledge what a beautiful existence we truly are that our contributions to this world are to be celebrated, honored, and recognized.

On World Pulse, we give encouragement to a sister we never met, we extend our hand to hold her as she faces challenging circumstances, and tell her she is no longer alone.

On World Pulse, we draw strength from each other's inspiring stories and support each other with our respective advocacies.

On World Pulse, we amplify our voices against violation of women's rights and resist against any form of violence and inequality.

As we rediscover our voices and reclaim our stories, we move forward by liberating the imprisoned voices of women (and even men) in our communities.

These are all made possible because one woman decided fearlessly to pursue her passion and vision.

Imagine if each World Pulse sister will follow suit and be bold enough to fulfill the dream that has long been burning in her heart.

Imagine how many more women we can all set free from poverty, war, trafficking, discrimination, inequality, sexual and domestic violence, slavery, exclusion, and even death the moment we step up and act.

Imagine the kind of force we can all become when we emulate Jensine's bravery, vision, and leadership.

Allow me to share Jensine's Powerful poem:

THE SOUL OF WORLD PULSE

Let us be a loudspeaker for women of the world.

Let us call forth voice where before there was silence.

Let us stand back while they speak up, for their words are so beautiful they need no adornment.

Let us be their platform, their forum, their safe haven, their sanctuary, an amplifier no one can ignore.

For we believe every human voice has the right to be heard.

We believe every human being has the fundamental right to be connected to the world.

And that because the world is what we make of it, let us create a world where women are not merely free, but empowered so greatly as to be unstoppable.

A world where each woman can transform her life and the lives of those around her, simply by raising her voice.

One voice at a time, millions of voices strong. Until the sound is so deafening, the whole world will hear their music.

This is the pulse that transforms the world.

This is World Pulse.

Happy birthday to dear Jensine!!! Karen I love love love this post. So relates to our discussions about not staying small! If you have a vision and a calling, it serves no one not to share with the world, had Jensine not shared her vision due to fear or other barriers, World Pulse would not have existed! Love this:"These are all made possible because one woman decided fearlessly to pursue her passion and vision." and "Imagine if each World Pulse sister will follow suit and be bold enough to fulfill the dream that has long been burning in her heart."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENSINE!!! KEEP DREAMING, KEEP CONNECTING, KEEP BEING THE LIGHT YOU ARE! WE'VE GOT THIS!!!
Adriana

Hello, Adriana,

Thank you for being so appreciative as always! So true! Where will we all be is Jensine stayed small? Imagine what this world is missing because one woman became fearful to pursue her calling. But of course, we know it's not just one woman? There are thousands of women out there who are being silenced, discriminated and discouraged to aim for bigger visions. As a result, this world is suffering.

Thank you for always sharing your lively engagement and sincere words of encouragement, Adriana! What a treasure you are!

Happy Birthday our Sunbeam Jensine Larsen, I remember how happy I felt after I let out a secret (on our World Pulse community ) that I carried since childhood that no one not even my parents knew about. I felt healed completely. Mine was a journey with a luggage that no one could see or touch. This is how you have touched, embraced and healed our inner selves. This is where we meet as sisters around the world and share our joy and many more. A place created by you. A feeling of a real home where one is welcomed by a happy loving very large family. Today, I have thousands of sisters around the world thanks to you. I celebrate the day you were born. You are an amazing Leader and a blessing to me, my community and all women. We love you so much. Happy birthday and blessings Jensine.

Wow. What a beautiful heartfelt birthday message, sister Rosemary. Amazing how telling our secret stories can bring us healing, right? These were not meant to be kept, but to release so those pain will be no longer be part of our system. Hugs!

Dear Karen,

You are right Jensine has been successful in turning her dream into reality. WP is not just an online portal but a platform for people like me. With the current unrest in Kashmir, I was alone and in chaos but then I expressed my pain on WP and it was a kind of catharsis. Besides, you WP sisters supported me like my family and make me realize I am I have someone out there. Kudos to Jensine for her bold venture and my belated birthday wishes for her. Jensine's dream was to come up with a platform for the woman which she succeeded but it is now us to turn WP into a think tank org.

Regards,
Sumera

Hello, sister Sumera,

How are you? Yes, this is what World Pulse is, a platform to express our inner battles when no one seems available to listen. I'm so glad you are able to write your stories here. I feel so connected with you after reading your struggles and your determination to fight.

I know there is a dream in your heart. Imagine if you can be as bold as Jensine to make this dream come true. A lot of women in Kashmir and even in different communities in the world would benefit on you saying "YES!" to that dream.

I believe in you, Sumera. Whatever it is in your heart that pushes you to lead, go for it!

Hugs!

Dear Karen,
Jensine deserves all the praise. It wasn't easy but she did and I am sure that one day, we shall turn WorldPulse into a think - tank. Besides a platform, we need research organization so that we can push for policy reforms. Nothing is impossible but in conflict zones, things are very different. In 2016, when I was with the World Pulse as VoF, I spoke honestly about the future digital media in amplifying suppressed voices because Kashmir is often sieged physically and technically. Anyways, together we work for humanity which is our sole purpose in this life.
Regards,
Sumera

Hello, Sumera,

That's a great idea for future development for World Pulse. That requires another source of grants and funding. I used to work in an NGO that is focused on research to be developed for policy, but due to funding challenges, it shifted to a program development work and advocacy.

I believe if this is what you are passionate about, maybe you can begin planning on how to make this happen, or prepare proposals for possible partners. So by the time a shift takes place, you are ready, and maybe you can lead. If not, then this could be what you are called to do and start a think tank organization for conflict-affected areas. It takes a leader to foresee, and your vision is calling you now to lead.

All the best to you, dear!

Dear Sis Karen,
This is a very beautiful and worthy tribute to a worthy lady of substance who needs to be celebrated 365/366days. Thank you for penning down these beautiful words for a special sister and Amazon, Jensine.
This line got me ..
'Imagine if each World Pulse sister will follow suit and be bold enough to fulfill the dream that has long been burning in her heart.' Yes, imagine what a beautiful world that would be.

Sis Jensine, thank you for the visionary you are and the love and enocuragement you generously offer and for this beautiful space bringing us amazing sisters worldwide.

We love and appreciate you daily. Thank you.

Hello, sister Arrey,

It's a pleasure for me to honor the woman who made World Pulse a reality for all of us.

Yes! I believe you can be that woman, too! You have begun creating an impact and the world is looking at you to see more of what you can do. We are with you, sister Arrey. May your dreams be many. May your visions be bigger than you can imagine so more women will follow what you do. Hugs!
