My World Pulse Spirit Nomination (Because She Dearly Matters To Me)

A few days from now, the World Pulse Spirit nomination is about to end.  I want to write my nomination for a World Pulse sister who deserves the award.

World Pulse asks the following questions as prompts for World Pulse Spirit Awards  nominee:

  • What do you most appreciate about this member?

  • How does she embody the World Pulse Spirit?

  • How does she encourage others, create an impact in her community, and/or use her voice to uplift others?

  • What impact has she made in your life?

What I appreciate about this sister is that she shows up on the World Pulse platform. Despite the personal challenges she faces, she logs on to World Pulse, scrolls through stories, read them, and leave supportive messages. In her own way, in her own ability, in her own resources, she helps another sister feel seen and heard. She listens to storytellers the best way she knows how.

This sister could be spending her time elsewhere because TIME IS PRECIOUS, but she chooses to show up on World Pulse. She finds time out of her hectic schedule to create an impact on this online community. She uses her voice in comment sections to uplift another World Pulse sister, it may be one sentence or two paragraphs, it doesn't matter.

What matters most is her act of leaving a supportive and encouraging comment communicates, "I see you. I hear you. I'm here. I'm listening".

The impact she made in my life is she makes me feel I AM ENOUGH, even if society at large doesn't think so. As I write my stories and post these on World Pulse, she shows empathy, and I am empowered. Her presence in this space is a gift, not just to me, but to the rest of the World Pulse sisters who post their stories.

I bet by now you already have an idea of who this sister is, and you are also convinced that she deserves this nomination because she embodies the World Pulse Spirit despite this pandemic.

Before I tell you this sister's name,  I would like to give a shout out of appreciation to every World Pulse sister who reached out to me to ask if they can nominate me for the Spirit Awards, and another shout out of appreciation five times more to every World Pulse sister who took the time and effort to write a post to nominate me. You've touched my heart in many ways. Thank you for seeing me.

Unfortunately, I am ineligible for the World Pulse Spirit Awards. Since I am part of the World Pulse team, I couldn't participate in the nomination process. But there is a sister that I really, really, really, really want to be nominated.

Can you please nominate her for me? *with blinking shiny cute eyes, pretty please*

Who is "SHE"?

"She" is a World Pulse encourager.

As far as I'm concerned, every World Pulse encourager who shows up, reads stories, and uplifts women through encouraging words deserves a nomination. In short, every encourager embodies the World Pulse Spirit

With only a few days lefts, the World Pulse Spirit Awards will come to an end. Kindly check your posts, and "see" who else needs a nomination. Every encourager matters because it takes time to read stories, think about what message to say, and post them.

To all World Pulse encouragers, Thank you for helping women feel seen, heard, and valued this 2020. Thank you for showing up. I SEE YOU, I VALUE YOU, I CELEBRATE YOU, I APPRECIATE YOU! Thank you for your relentless effort in "listening" and caring! You are the sunflowers who bloom and make this community radiant!

To the Featured Encouragers this 2020, thank you for the EXTRA love, care, empathy, and support you've given to make the World Pulse community thrive. It has been a challenging year, but your presence made us rise up. We survive 2020 because of you!

To every World Pulse sister, may your 2021 be filled with LOVE, JOY, PEACE, GRACE, and ABUNDANCE! Claim it, receive it!

Happy New Year!
