Woman murders her own baby

World pulse family,help me understand this heinous act.My brain still can't understand what would lead a woman to do such a thing. So many horrible things are happening in my country but this,to me, is up there.

A 28 year old lady killed her one day old child(1 day). When asked why, she said it was because the man who impregnanted her denied responsibility and abandoned her. Her reasoning was,she had no means of taking care of her baby because she was already struggling to make ends meet.I will not lie THIS ANGERS ME.

Why would killing the child ever be an option,let alone the first option? WHY? She is alleged to have choked her baby with a necktie. How can a mother do that? She was looking at her baby while she was choking it. She saw the life drain out of her baby.

I have failed to understand this. Why couldnt she just leave the child outside a church,police station,leave it in the hospital for adoption....Why couldn't she do SOMETHING,ANYTHING apart from strungle it to death?

This story has affected me for 3 days now.Please can someone help me understand what would lead a woman to commit such a heinous crime.
