Domestic Violence Survivor

\"My
My world

Hello Everyone.

I found this website during a google search. I'm reaching out to where I can. So I apologize if this isn't allowed.

I recently left my husband after being together 15 years (married 6) due to physical, mental, and emotional abuse. I was so proud of myself in the beginning because finally I did it. However now me and my son are homeless(we live in an extended stay hotel). I have no family besides a sick brother and one friend who just a had a baby. I was getting unemployment however that stopped I had to fax paperwork which I have completed. We live in South Carolina and our resources here are limited. But I did reapply for food stamps. Our room is paid up until Thursday. We have no groceries. My son is currently doing virtual school which is why it's been difficult to start back working. At this point I just need a little help to get back started. I have nothing anymore. No home, no vehicle, nothing. My husband moved in with his new girlfriend, has a new job and no bills. He doesn't help even when I have asked. Some days I regret leaving. How does such a horrible person get put in a better situation? 15 years. The other times I left only lasted a week. I'll never go back, I just want to be happy. I hate myself at this point and truly want to give up. Money can't buy happiness but it can provide a way. I would love to purchase a used car and move into my own place. My husband got ALL of our tax money and stimulus check. He has only called our son a few times over the last few months. I'm so broken. I'm so hurt. I just want to be a great mother and actually love life again. I have $10 to my name to care for my baby. I can't lose my son. He is the reason I am still here.
