Waiting and Effort brought Fruits for Parul

Waiting is a particular word that refers to patience.
Patience is a virtue which finally bears sweeter fruits for those who have patience in every sphere of life.
To support this tale of a good number of people can be told who had patience and finally became successful.
I believe you can remember and even name of such type people not only one but more than that.
I too can remember and mention the names of a number of people who were successful, famous and well known to the people all over the world.
People may forget them in course of time but the history will never forget.
If we study their lives even briefly we easily understand that they had to wait for a certain period of time.
They waited and became successful!
It means waiting is an important element of achieving success.
But is that all?
Here in answer to this particular question I may be different from many other people as I must say no, only waiting is not enough.
If we go back to their lives and spend little more times in studying we find that they wait and at the same time they tried their best to achieve what they desired.
It means a heartfelt effort is more important than only waiting.
Let me explain briefly an example for the same.
Several years ago during my college life I met a middle aged woman named Fazilatunnesa Haque Parul.
At that time she was a housewife and a loving mother of a daughter and a son.
Her husband was a first class government officer. They had enough to lead a decent city life. Nothing was left with them to be worried.
But Parul was cherishing a hidden desire which came out through a first small conversation.
At certain point of time she told 'Whatever we have is enough but still I'm waiting to be self supported and to do something for the people.'
In reply I told, 'Is only waiting enough?'
Quickly she responded saying, 'No, I'm thinking to appear at intermediate exam. I've already enrolled with a college. I earnestly request you to help teaching on the subject of English.'
I thought for a while and agreed.
Then on her long journey for achieving higher education started.
I was lucky to have seen her passing intermediate exam with outstanding result.
At that time I departed her as I had to leave the country for neighbouring India for study purpose.
I had no communication for several years and even I forgot her.
In the meantime I returned to the country and started doing a job for an international donner organization.
With an office assignment the other day I had to go to another city in southern part of the country.
As the citizens of the country everyone knows that to go to the southern part from anywhere of other parts of the country one has to cross the river Padma by ferry.
While in Ferry I got down from bus and went to canteen to buy a bottle of mineral water and have a cup of tea or coffee.
There I met Parul. It was quite impossible for me to recognize her as she changed in many ways but she recognized me as I changed a little.
However, we started our conversation.
Conversation continued till the Ferry came nearby the other shore to be anchored.
Through the conversation I came to know that she had to wait and try hard to achieve her desire education. now she is a deputy director of an international organization, travels frequently home and abroad.
Finally she took adieu from me and moved for official Pajero car and I for my public bus. But before moving I rose my right hand a little high and with much reverence in mind I salute her!
