Linking teachers welfare with quality and standards through teacher digital literacy awareness
To ensure quality education of teachers in Plateau State, Girls Education Mission International with Support from the TY Danjuma Foundation and in collaboration with Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board have trained 60 Primary and Junior Secondary School teachers from Northern Zone of Plateau State comprising 6 Local Governments including Bassa, Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Jos South, Jos East, Jos North. The title of the Project which is \"Linking Teachers Welfare with Quality and Standard\" aim at ensuring quality teacher education towards improved performance of leaners in Plateau State. considering the disruptions by the COVID-19 pandemic which came with various restriction of gathering of people and schools closure. The training had Keturah Shammah - a digital Ambassador and a #SheTransformsTech Feature Changemaker with World Pulse took the participants on a journey to digital literacy and its important for effective learning outcome. Keturah had explored with the teachers various technology tools and resources including World Pulse that can help their personal and professional lives.
