Words, mould and shape the culture in SGBV.

I have written about Sexual and Gender-based violence. I have interacted with various women about how to prevent and address SGBV and the 1st thing that comes to anyone's mind is physical violence. We leave out the psychological and emotional bit of violence against women, children, the LGBTQ and most importantly persons with disabilities. I wrote about sexual violence and injustices to Kenyan women in my blog https://nerdyclues.com/2016/11/20/when-the-sun-sets-in-the-east/ and wrote about losing a phenomenal, educated and sophisticated woman going through violence silently, losing her in another post https://nerdyclues.com/2016/11/19/replacing-wounds/ on the 25th. All these, are factual stories that have happened in very close ecological proximity to me.

16 Days of Activism as a global campaign, points out to grassroots level individuals. So, begs the question, " who addresses the daily sexual harrassment, physical and psychological violence to an educated, smart and employed woman?"
