Survivor

You think you know me, but you don’t

You think you own me, but you don’t

Judge me not by what you see

What you see is not what i am

Just a facade to fit the bill

One side of a coin is all you get

You think you know me, but you don’t

You think you own me, but you don’t

Euphoric and smiles, no tears you see

My will is stronger than you think

Can’t keep me down, can’t keep me under

You think you know me, but you don’t

You think you own me, but you don’t

Beat me if you must, curse me if you must

What doesn’t kill me only makes me stronger

Tough times don’t last, that much i know

Only tough people last in this world of ours

You think you know me, but you don’t

You think you own me, but you don’t

Hi Kilio. Thanks for sharing your strong poem on survival. What are you a survivor of, if you don't mind me asking. I feel like you are probably a survivor in more than one way:-)

You are a beautiful warrior. You have your wings. Nobody can own you. Keep on spreading your wings. I love your poem. I am a survivor too.

Thanks for sharing.
