Nominating Arrey Echi

There aren't a lot of people I haven't met that I would do anything for: and Arrey is one of them. That she evokes this in me is a powerful testament to who SHE is: a force of nature, a resilient soul, and most of all, the QUEEN of changemaking. I've known Arrey for a few years now, and she is that burst of sunshine that comes to you in the ways you least expect it - ever so gently, but certainly; ever so supportive, but never compromising on your agency; ever so resilient, but never forgetting that taking a step back is always welcome. Arrey's cause and her capacity to fight forth and champion it are powerful lessons in motion of how one does leadership by example. To Arrey, the sky is the limit, and she lives this spirit in every waking moment that she spends with her work. I have never known of her ever saying that something is impossible, cannot work, or is not up to her strengths: she is the kind of person who will make anything her strength if she puts her mind to it. In this bizarre year, Arrey spirit and gentle presence has been such a powerful catalyst in my life. As I wrote once beforre, "I've seen her cope with the many challenges life sent her way, and have also seen her emerge out of it like a phoenix. Arrey is a fierce fighter and braves on - like the lodestar."
