My Personal Assets Map

I enjoyed realizing the assets and influences I bring to the table. It's easy to take for granted all that we have and all we have gained.

The first picture is of my wedding ring, symbolizing the relationship I have to my husband. We've only been married for two years, but a couple for nearly 8. This relationship has brought me both joy and heartache as any marriage does. It has taught me the power of a team vs. working solo. I have learned comprise, when to speak up, when to let go. Overall, the power of love and forgiveness and living life alongside someone as two imperfect people. Marriage is the most intimate relationship, you see the ugly and still continue to love that person. It has changed me tremendously.

The second picture is my name badge for Catholic Charities. I work there part time and am proud to be at a place where everyone is valued, everyone has a voice and we \"cherish the divine within.\" I have met remarkable people who are truly making a difference in this world. Each life we touch ripples out into the community, transforming our town, state, county and world.

The last photo was from the seminary I attended where I received my master's degree. I'm really proud of this because it symbolizes so much hard work, sacrifice and facing naysayers. People said I could not afford it. People said I shouldn't go to a seminary because I was female (even though about half the student body is women). People said I wouldn't find a job with that degree. I did it anyway, because I felt God leading me there.

I feel very fortunate to have these assets and I hope to utilize them well in creating positive change.
