Sexual Assault

It is alleged that a15-year -old Form Two student was assaulted and raped while going to the washrooms at 2am on Saturday.She was attacked by three men who had entered the dormitory under unclear circumstances.Two other students were physically assaulted.The girls are still in hospital.There are suspicions that those behind the incident knew the compound well; given the location of the bathroom where it happened a team of detectives, including those from DCI's forensic department and Government chemists, spent Monday night at the school compound, collecting samples from the scene and persons of interest.The officers interrogated a number of students and teachers.One of the girls had told police her attacker was short.The school was closed for one week on Sunday after parents stormed it following media reports on the rape scandal.The police have promised to conduct a security assessment at the institution.
