Think equal, build smart, innovate for change

The International Women's Day comes at a time when we should be celebrating milestones taken to achieve the gender balance. However, despite the several efforts made to think equal, build smart and innovate for change the rights of women in Kenya are still wanting. Women are at risk of several human rights violations; gender based violence, femicide, enforced disappearances, sexual harrassment just to mention a few.  As a human rights organisation, Good Health Community Programmes working with  acknowledges that our country cannot achieve balance for better if the rights of our girls and women are not protected. It is for this reason that we join all our partners from across the country on Friday 8th March to demand for the rights of women to not only be guaranteed but protected. Stop Killing our women! Respect our women. Come and join us this Friday as we march from Shabwali  to  Shinyalu from 9am.

Hi Kristine,

Thanks for sharing your post, organization and event. Good luck with your walk. I hope you post a follow-up story on how the event went.

Do you have a website or social media page(s)? I've probably asked you before but I can't find you on Twitter or FB and would like to follow you.

Hope you're having a good day!

Dear Kristine,
You bring us quickly and profoundly to why it is so important that we work here closely and globally together. The abuse of and murder of women must be stopped. Everywhere. This is why I am grateful for our World Pulse connection. By your speaking out we can carry the reality of what is being done to women in your country, and the news that women like you are speaking out.
In sisterhood,
Tam
