About the conference

Millennial Empowerment Conference (MEC 2016) is a three-day empowerment now entering its second edition. This will take place from August 22th – 24th 2016 in the campus of St. Louis University Institute, Mile 3 Nkwen Bamenda, North West region Cameroon.

Theme:Turning Challenges Into Opportunities

Purpose: The conference which consists of many components: workshop sessions, Cameroon business forum, youth leadership training sessions, panel discussions on a wide range of issues facing youths, women and girls, presentations and exhibitions, and a town hall meeting where youths are encouraged to make their voices heard to communities leaders about issues they face in their communities and the way forward. There will also job fair, dream big day and lots of prizes to be won by conference participants.


This is open to those interested in gaining leadership skills and new knowledge as well as those who want to empower others with their success stories.

This highly exciting and groundbreaking conference is intended to be a forum discussion and networking place for academics, researchers, professionals, administrators, educational leaders, policy makers, industry representatives, all students, and others.


It’s free for youths age 17 and above. Registration ends on July 31stas seats will be limited
