THINK BEYOND A GIRL PROJECT

My name is HOPE KUNDA, and i am the founder as well as the president for GIRLS CONNECT ZAMBIA, this year has been great and awesome for us since we dedicated it to the girls. my country director DIANA CHILALA 16 years of age and a mother. Diana got pregnant when she was 13 years in grade 9 due to group influence. when she had a baby she thought of being an inspiration to her daughter but how was she supposed to do that when her parents couldn't support her. the only option which was there was for her to get married. in 2018 she joined dreams project at Lubuto Library Partners and she was given a chance to go to school again. this Diana is not just an inspiration to her daughter of herself but to all the girls in the world. that's why this year we are having the THINK BEYOND A GIRL PROJECT so that we inspire as many girls as possible through stories of our life and what we have gone through as girls for us to be where we are today. this book called think beyond a girl project we help identify which girl have we inspired and which girl can we target, we are using four steps which are: 1. find her, 2. listen to her, 3. design with her and 4. adapt with her as a way of addressing issues affecting a girl child and bring up a solution which will best the the stakeholders to invest in girls early and accelerate economies, break the circles of poverty in our country.

that is why Girls Connect Zambia is focusing in a girl child as HEALTH!!!
