Sensitization and empowerment of women farmers through various schemes



The direct impact was on the 1000 participating women at the same time there is indirect impact on the other 2000 women who are being sensitized to participate in the movement. 100 youth women leaders have been developed in 20 villages of the program who are playing catalytic role in furthering the project activities. Further 50 women from each village have been part of the program to work unitedly to fight for the rights of women farmer. 100 women have got the land in their name as a result of the efforts of our group to transfer the land asset in the name of women making them ‘Women farmer’ in real sense. Various Govt schemes benefits are being provided and facilitated to these women through the rapport established with various department by conducting joint workshop and programs at village level. Both the women youth leader and the group has good rapport with various department like agriculture, health department, and education department. These women are sensitized about their rights and are equipped to fight for their rights. Ayurvedic plants (herbs) were distributed among women to create awareness about local medicine and improve health. Kitchen garden were also developed in each of the village with 5 women in each of the village to have health diet habits. Health camps were organized in each of the village with the support of Govt health department and free medicine to weak women(with low HB, pregnant, baby feeding women) were distributed. Training on law and Right of women, provision in various laws for protecting the rights of women was given in each of the village through our regular resource person who has been working on counselling center as well. Income generation activities training were provided to the women on Tailoring, goatary, beauty parlour, dairy etc. Further, assured credit is also provided to the needy women including for farming activities through banks and finance companies
