A LITTLE BIT OF EDUCATION-A WHOLE LOT ENLIGHTENMENT

I am a humanitarian,sociologist and journalist by profession,i rub shoulders every second with young mothers who have been emotionally abused thrice as they have been physically abused.Straight from primary school they have dropped off and started their own family.Their partners ,albeit being school drop offs are more mature and more independent.

There is something about education and training that lightens one's face and loosens the reasoning capacity enabling one to embrace. their value not just as a woman but a human being who is not to be diced and thrown about like garbage These young mothers are so innocent looking and their exaggerated meekness preaches of a weakness within that they have taken to be part of their existence occurrence. They do not have the air of esteem that would be a natural flair to any woman,they are afraid of any initiatives for fear of being beaten up or choked by their monster husbands.
All can be done and preach everywhere that violence be stopped BUT if she's not empowered then its all to no avail.
'She"needs to be educated and trained to know that she is worth a priceless dimes and cannot be mistaken for an archived piece of ancestral memorial.'She" should wake up and embrace today and tomorrow in her harness of woman hood and ensure a better future for her offspring.

IT is up to you and me-the so called enlightened to take responsibility of educating that other woman,even when we do not benefit from donor aid but as a gift to a sister.'She' also needs to read,watch news and surf through the net....but having dropped off from school at the age 13 to become a 'perpetual' mother of a baby every year,how could she have learnt.

LETS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT WOMAN WHO'S NOT GROANING IN PAIN BUT IS ENJOYING THE BRUISES AND CAJOLES WHICH HAVE BECOME PART OF HER..SHE IS EVEN ENJOYING THE NEVARIPINE,COTRIMOXAZOLE AND STAVUDINE PILLS SHE RECEIVED FROM A COMMUNAL DOCTOR.'DADDY' BROUGHT IN THE ILLNESS AND PLeDGES THAT NO 'WIFE OF MINE WEARS A CONDOM OR ASKS ME TO WEAR ONE'-she is our sister and she is terrified,lets do something before sisterhood becomes extinct.
