Improving the conditions of rural women through skill building training for economic improvement



The work to empower rural and tribal women continues. The courses are changing as per local demand. We are exploring new courses for the area like animal husbandry, computer and mobile repairing. Currently, till Feb 2020 we have targeted 260 women with various skill building courses. These include Home nursing, tailoring and beauty parlour courses. Out of these 75% are involved in some small business earning on an average about Rs. 3000 to 4000 per month. On account of this earning their whole lives change they are given more importance and value and noticed in the family. As a result of these courses widows have been able to support their children, women with alcoholic husbands have been able to stand strong, relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law have improved.
