Picking Up the Pieces

Introduction:
Having participated in the Voices of Our Future application process I feel so energised by the whole process and wish it could go on and on. Nonetheless the participation has set me up on a life journey and has made me feel like a new person with a much clearer vision fo the future. The process has helped me clarify what i consider to be my vision and goal for the future.

As I stand today , Iam very proud to state that my vision for the future is to live in a community and a world that is non discriminatory in every aspect be it on the basis of gender, age, race, nationality, economic muscle, educational achievement, social status and disability. I long to live in a world which is inclusive and a world where every voice and concern is taken seriously by the decision makers in our communities and the global community at large. My participation on Pulse Wire has actually inspired me to believe that the vision is achievable through concentrated efforts by all of us because each and every story and comment that came through was an inspiration for all of us to continue with the struggle and to continue picking up and piecing together the broken pieces to form a big beautiful puzzle that has the potential to attract the whole world. My viion also include the rising up of a new generataion of women who are fearless to stand up and speak about their dreams, aspirations , success and challenges until the world stops to listen to their stories and change some of the steriotyped policies and culture we are entrenched in irregardless of their destructive effects. My own community will be part of these amazing changes through a network like the Pulsewire community and through networking they will also learn to rise above the challenges they face as women and creat a community
and a world that is all embracing .

I strongly believe that being a correspondent will help me achieve this vision because by my mere participation in the application process I have learnt a lot and have actually begun the long journey to change. For example I have become a blogger, a writer, a leader and an empowered woman within a month. Being a correspondence would deepen my knowledge base on these and make me a better advisor, listener , reader and blogger within the community I stay in and the global community. If I become a correspondent my voice will continue to be heard beyond the community borders and this will build my confidence to tell my own community about my experiences relating to the different types of discrimination i have come across and somebody might statr listening and taking me seriouslrly. That will be a plus towards achieving a non discriminatory community and world.

For me Pulse wire opened a door in my heart that i thought would never be opened because it encouraged me to start communicating and to start talking. I believe therefore that being a correspondence for World Pulse will be a great honour and that will give me an opportunity to share my own story and those of the women I have assisted and continue to assist every day of my life. I have a lot of issues to share and would love to share those through the Worldpulse correspondent platform. That way I will be the voice of the voiceless including myself. Being a correspondence for World Pulse will build up my personal life which is currently in pieces that need to to be glued together to become whole again and that will in turn strengthen me up to pick up the broken pieces in the lives of the abused women I listen to .

Conclusion
I feel hounoured to have participated in the application process and feel that the journey we embarked on was a very unique and should not end but continued by all of us as individuals in one form or another.
