I am a young woman in Portland, Oregon who has had many wonderful opportunities to study and live in many parts of the world (Latin America, Africa, Europe, Asia). Experiencing these cultures first-hand has opened my mind and heart in ways that I never could have predicted. Travelling abroad has also made me grateful for the freedoms that I enjoy as a woman in the United States, while also fueling my desire to improve opportunities for women both in the U.S. and around the world.
I have many interests--travelling and building relationships with people from other countries and cultures are among my greatest pleasures. I also enjoy knitting, running, cooking, Latin dancing, playing clarinet, hiking, solving New York Times crossword puzzles, and keeping a meditation practice.
Thank you so much to all of you for sharing your stories; it is wonderful to feel such a connection with women all around the world, and I admire your bravery for sharing your personal, sometimes difficult, and always inspiring stories. I look forward to connecting with you!
A world where freedom from gendered expections leads to a better quality of life for all women and men. A planet whose beauty and resources are protected and cherished. A society of people who are awake and brave enough to live compassionately.
