I've spent 20+ years building global marketplaces, with a career spanning the early days of AOL and Etsy, to the recent explosion of crowdfunding, to using innovative technologies and approaches to disrupt existing supply chains. As an entrepreneur, I founded Economic Development Imports, a wholesale import company sourcing fair trade goods made by women living at marginal socioeconomic levels in East and West Africa. I have a MBA from Kellogg (Northwestern), BA from Harvard and am a board member of the Business Council for Peace, a non-profit that supports high potential women entrepreneurs around the globe.
My vision is that business is a powerful tool for positive change -- particularly in underdeveloped countries.
I would be happy to provide guidance to the World Pulse team as it grows its vision and possibly to be a mentor to WP members.
