Am A Gilr

Am a girl and it’s part of the challenge I face everyday “THAT AM A GIRL”

Am disregarded, disrespected, ignored, under appreciated, misused, misunderstood, over labored, neglected, The list is countless and yet am expected to perform above all of these vises.  I struggle to keep up,make up,rise up, speak up so I can be see, noticed and heard, but to no success.

How can it be that am celebrated each year and yet am not the focus and icon of the celebration? Am only being used as a means to an end, “My challenge “ This year I need my place let it be me,about me,for me and me on this day 11/10/2020.

Forget the policies, the strategies, the fight, the struggle and just LISTEN!!! Hear me,know me,see me and talk with me. Let me know you have taken note of me and my plight. Don’t assume.

Hello Lizzy,
Your poem asks important questions that can only be sufficiently answered by our continued activism for equal opportunity for girls as for boys. So good on you for raising your voice and standing with girls everywhere.

Lizzymark,

Thank you very much for your powerful poem. You have raised important questions about the value and place of a girl and later a woman in society.

The world would not exist without the role of women because we are life-givers.

The world needs more activists like you, women who are assertive, confident and whose sense of self-esteem and self-worth is unshakable.

You are indeed a valuable human being, and here at World Pulse, your value and your worth are not in doubt. Feel at home, and keep up the good work.
