My vision

My name is Loveline Andam I am the kid sister to a World Pulse Ambassador Veronica Ngum Ndi who introduced me to World Pulse Community. Being very passionate about supporting women and girls and raising my voice for their rights and needs. I have always wanted a forum through which I can make the voices of women heard especially when it has to do with their rights as well as empowering them.
World Pulse turns out to be the place for such actions. So, when Veronica talked to me about it, I saw an opportunity to make my voice heard as well as the voices of other women most especially vulnerable women and girls who face all forms of violence.
Based on my experience having a sister born with a disability (Veronica), I am so passionate in taking care of people especially women and children with various challenges ( health and social ) that limit their full inclusion and participation in community life.
My sister, Veronica, has gone through series of surgeries and I have always been her caregiving during those difficult times for her and the family. When she had her leg surgery for the correction of her clubfoot, we spent about three months at the hospital. It was fun having her by me even though at times, we had our differences. I remember when she ate groundnuts and some grains fell on the hospital floor, she picked it and this made me angry. She is such a wonderful sister and very dynamic woman today. We thank God for love.

Veronica being my source of inspiration I want to “Shout My Vision” on being the voice of the voiceless on issues of gender-based violence for internally displaced (IDP) women and girls in the west Region of Cameroon. Most women and children are victims of various forms of abuse and neglect but being an IDP woman or girls makes you more vulnerable to exploitation and gender-based violence.

I will collaborate with humanitarian actors and civil society organizations to identify the needs of these women and girls seek for opportunities to empower them, advocate for them to gain access to land in new settlements, train them and income generation and marketing skills giving them the capacity to build resilience and recover.

In other for me to successfully support these women and girls, I will need support that will permit me to reach out to them so as to meet their gender and disability specific needs. I will need technical, financial and material support to empower them locally. Base on my experience in marketing, I can empower them with marketing skills and train them with self-reliant skills for better output.
