Les spécialistes ont découvert qu’au moins 80% des plus jeunes enfants (de divorcés) qu’elles ont interrogés n’avaient pas reçu d’explication satisfaisante ou n’avaient pas été rassurés sur ce qu’ils adviendraient d’eux.
« Je me rappelle, quand papa est parti nous ne savions pas très bien ce qui allait se passer. Maman qui était obligée de travailler, nous laissait tout le temps seuls. Ils nous arrivaient de nous asseoir devant la fenêtre, angoissés à l’idée qu’elle aussi pourrait nous avoir abandonnés…
Le divorce des parents, c’est comme une fin du monde, un drame qui peut laisser des séquelles indélébiles. Il fait souvent jaillir un flot de sentiments : honte, colère, peur d’être abandonné, culpabilité, découragement profonde, sensation de viole et même désir de vengeance.

The divorce of parents is like an end of the world, a crisis that can have an indelible aftermath. It often prompts a whole range of feelings: shame, anger, fear of abandonment, guilt, profound discouragement, a feeling of violation and even the desire for vengeance.
