TODAY'S WOMEN AS ECONOMIC ACTORS

In the past , some communities regarded women merely as baby making machines and they were the care takers of their families as they will be the ones to cultivate crops to feed their families, sell some to pay for their children( Male) school needs, pay medicals etc. Some women will even raise money and their husbands will take it from and spend on drinks. Their husbands use to be the ones keeping their monies as well and will never permit them to ask for it whenever they wish to spend it on something. Above all these, a woman will be the one to sits on the bare floor to mourn for her husband when he dies without an opportunity to say something, they will go for days without bathing, with same clothes, bare feet, etc. Women were regarded as kitchen actors as they were deprived from owning properties and their place were in the kitchen, farms and on the floor. Today I see women as economic actors and leaders if given the opportunity. But some women still need us to train and support them as entrepreneurs and we cannot pretend they do not need us.
Dear WP family, I will be grateful if you give me your ideas and strategies on how I can assist Women in Cameroon through Community Volunteer Center Manage their finances well to ensure sustainability. I am designing a proposal to reach out to 300 women; this will include training them on business management skills through business classes, supporting them with start up capital for new businesses and additional capital for existing businesses. I will also need you to support as partners, collaborators to realize this project. Waiting for you as your contributions will make things happen.
