Congratulations to all our sisters who read through last weeks Assignment. I was very challenged with the essays I read. Empowerment was defined as a willfull act to come out of a situation and go foward. I could read the rise of a women trop for rights and equality.

This week, I decided to have us build on last weeks work and write an esay of between 500-1000 words consoling,empowering, or saying NO to rape of women in war or conflict areas.
The assignment is.

-Chose a region or country which has suffered from a war or conflict in which you followed up what happened to women .Consider that you were invited to give a talk on violence against women during wars or conflicts.Write and essay either;

1) Consoling and encouraging women who were victims of rape,
2) Empowering women and girls who were victims and telling them( Common, its not over you can make it)or,
3) Incase you were closely affected or were a victim, tell your story how you auto empowered yourself.

The aim of this assignment is to bring us to be able to encourage the depressed through empowering messages. I believe we are one anothers helper. I remember a young victim who once said she felt like dying.Life was not worth living since men took advantage of a war and raped her indiscriminately

Such sisters of ours need your empowering voices.
