I always believed that to win the fight against gender-based violence, we need more leaders at the grassroot to address this issue. Those who live in villages know that women face more violence there at every step but cannot fight it as they have more challenges such as lack of courage or leadership skills. So I and my organization are training and empowering grassroot women leaders, so that they can be more aware, more organized and more effective to lead women against discrimination and violence. This month also I am playing a leaders' role to empower other leaders in my community in Bhandara district of Maharashtra state. I think women must stand up for each other.
