11th October was the day when I met some young girls in society. We understood their problems and decided to conduct a youth meeting. Nowadays, girls are suffering from a very serious problem that is depression. All over India, school are closed and all the study pattern is held through technology. But in villages technology is unavailable. They do not have mobile or computer to study. From last eight months students are sitting in home with the help of school reopening. The girls are unable to study. They are sitting at home and getting depressed. So, we are trying to help them with some teachings. But this is not possible at a high level just because of spread of pandemic. But we are trying our level best to provide them something useful for their future. We are trying to help the girls who got depressed in this period and helping them to come out of such condition. We are also providing them the computer which are not in use at someone's home and also the Gram Panchayat making digital schools for such students. We are trying to make their future bright. Our group of Mahila Rajsatta Andolan is helping us in that. We would like if you suppot us in this work.
Thank you....!!!
Hi Madhuri,
Wonderful initiative. I am a Rotarian and would like to know what kind of online support we can render. We know people who use art therapy. How about conducting one for them if you have good connectivity?
Warmly ,
Geetanjali
Hii Geetanjali... Thank you for reading my story. Actually we are facing some network issues with which we cannot do anything and also we need support for books which are not available in our village at a large scale. Thank you for asking me about help...Thank you so much.:)
Yes, I can understand the issue of internet connectivity. If you let me know the age group there and what kind of books you are looking at, then I can take it forward. We are currently on a drive as part of our Diwali drive wherein we are collecting books from apartments and gated communities and collecting good used books to distribute.
Hello Madhuri,
How have you been doing? Have I told you that I love your headress... brilliant:-)
Aw, poor things. How are you helping with their depression? What is your group, or fundraiser link, dear? Good luck, and please keep us posted on your progress.
Hey Jill .... Thank you for reading my story. Actually for children we are taking sessions to bring a new hope in their minds. My NGO is working for this and funding is also done by us but I think it would not be sufficient so we will look for funding.
I will surely post more updates about my work. Thank you...!!
Hi there:-)

Hope you have a good, safe week!

You are doing meaningful and important work
Hello, Madhuri,
Depression is indeed a pressing issue and COVID-19 exacerbated it. Thank you for reaching out to girls and helping them out. Please let us know more about what activities you are doing to help them. I've been battling with depression, too. Journaling helps me a lot. But I know it's not a one-size-fits-all solution. Every girl has a different way of coping. I hope each one can discover what it is. Music, art, meditation, CBT, and so many more. Please update us. :)
