It's not because people have a mental health condition that their human rights should be violated. The UDHR of 1948 talks of "all people" and not some people in particular. A basic right to 'dignity' for example is sometimes denied persons with a mental illness in some Psychiatric services - you see them stripped and some are chained in the villages by faith or tradi healers making them more vulnerable, frightened and traumatized.
