I refuse to be Shamed or Silenced: No to GBV

They can't burn your sweet memories nor steal your voice unless you let them. If you can tell the world about it do not be ashamed for that's their hope, that shame maims you and you go silent forever. This is my story. I got up this morning thinking about my son's baby pictures and how I even got one of those US baby journals and special blueish album for him. David came after my first miscarriage (5months) and I was still hurting when I got pregnant for Dave (don't know when or why life just seemingly goes on after a miscarriage or death of a baby for some men like my exH) but since I was a newly wed and under some pressure to have a baby, I was excited. And then when I left, I was told about the big fire lit behind the house and how anything which smelled me (except the household/kitchen items and furniture I had bought with my salary hahahahaha) were thrown in there. My memories weren't burned oooooo SORRY. And o, my voice wasn't stolen or silenced forever too. In short had someone known, hahahahaha. The platforms to use that voice now are plenty, I choose...and I share it all to empower other victims and survivors. I say it loud it's my story, no shame about what I did, endured and look at me now! Pain is fleeting just like life is...I make the most of it for my own personal growth #speakout  #LetGodFightYourBattles  #mentalhealthmatters  #seekhealing  #selflovematters
