Girl in the Mirror

oh my god , why is he staring at me . Did i do something wrong ? what happen to me today why the another guys is staring at me , he is the 5th guy that is staring at me . Are my cloths alright ? I haven't wear something too reveling . It just a normal pant and shirt .Is my zip open ? I feel very differently . I am scare ,angry , nervous and sad at same time .I don't wanna be here . I wanna go home to my room where no one sees me .

( with tear full in her eyes she rushes to her house. she takes a right turn and left and straight leading to an old newari house in far corner . As soon as she enter the house she went to a dark room below an stair and begins to think)

I am back to my room . I hate the lights .I don't wanna go out again. I don't wanna feel so miserable where people stare at me that makes me uncomfortable . I wanna be alone all alone .

( suddenly the load sheding ends and the light came . she has just a small bulb of 100 watt in her room which was enough to light her small room . Than suddenly her eyes went to the mirror which was just in front of her bed. she moves slowly to the mirror and begin to talk )

why do people stare at me like that ? Is it my face , my cloth or my appearance or is it my......... breast ? Sabina said i have a big breast that attract men to me . They find me very sexy . Is that the reason but i don't have such big one they are just 28 .what should i do should I wear a really lose clothes but how can i not wear my school uniform . Should I carry my bag to front so they would hide my breast? No than I will gather more attention . No i won't go to school from tomorrow .

Are you.....mad?

( All of sudden she hears a very numb voice . she looks right and left than sees the mirror the girl in the mirror was talking to her she was shocked and couldn't believe and begins a conversation )

Girl in mirror: Are you mad ? why will you quit school ?

Her: I am not saying I quit school , its just i won't go to collage tomorrow and day after tomorrow and umm

Girl in the mirror : And how about the days to come will it change anything ? will the boys staring at you change ? What a plan , if you don't go outside than there will be no boys to stare right?

Her: No, not like that (in a low voice)

Girl in the mirror : you can't lie to me .Just look at me once and say it again.

Her: (looking at mirror) But what will I do I don't like the way they stare at me .

Girl in the mirror : Did any girl stare at you?

Her: No

Girl in mirror :What age the boys were ?

Her : I don't know ,may be the age of my classmate Rahul.

Girl in the mirror: Do you remember what your eph teacher taught yesterday ?

Her: Not ,exactly something like physical change .

Girl in the mirror : Dumbo , she taught you about being and adolescent. The body type of boys and girl are different . Different changes occur during this age. Girls have period , their breast size increase and they have a harmonal changes whereas the boys start to change as well their voice changes , they start growing facial hair etc . That's why those boys were staring at you as u seem little different than usual .

Her : (remembering something and smiling ) That's why Rahul voice is heaver its sound like a broken speaker .

Girl in the mirror : you shouldn't stay in the dark like this . Go outside and talk to someone .

Her : But whom , my friends will make fun of me always. Sabina alway says I am sexy . I don't wanna talk to her about this .

Girl in the mirror : okay ,than talk to your sister Renuka she is in collage . She will tell help you . The best part she is good at keeping secretes .

Her: ya , you are right . we fight all the time but she loves me . One day she punch a guy who was teasing me .

(A door bell )

Its her bye mirror I am going to my sister . Thank you ..

( suddenly the image in mirror which appear like her disappear. Little Miss Roji Shrestha who study in class 8 doesn't realize the girl in the mirror was her and her inner voice speak to her )
