Sangat, a feminist network, is conducting a 1-month capacity building course for women from South Asia to better understand concepts related to gender, justice, poverty, sustainable development, peace, democracy and human rights. These courses have been designed for women mainly from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Participants can include:
- non-governmental organization professionals,
- researchers,
- teachers,
- women’s studies teachers,
- artists,
- government officials,
- journalists,
- lawyers,
- trade unions representatives, among others.
The dates of the course are 23 August to 23 September 2019, Tewa Centre at Dhapakhel, Lalitpur on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal. Applications/nominations should be emailed to the Sangat Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator at [email protected] and [email protected] by 31 May 2019.
