SICKLE CELL DISEASE

am 23 years old and a survivor of sickle cell anemia, i have lived with this condition my entire life and its an inspiration to me because i want to show people that having sickle cell its not a curse and one  does not choose to be born with the condition. I want to make people understand sickle cell patients because you sleep feeling well and wake up the following morning very sick .Its not easy to work when you have sickle cell disease, your employees must be understanding but many employees see sickle cell patients as liabilities to their work.

I want to  stop stigmatization and negligence of sickle cell patients because it has led to many deaths of very young children that could be  leaders of tomorrow, i want sickle cell patients to come out and embrace their condition and stop hiding and acting like its a shame to be born with this condition. Its not a choice to be born with sickle cell condition but its just a genetically inherited disease,we must be given equal rights and opportunities like any other people in this world.
