Emerging Even Better Than Before the Pandemic

The worldwide pandemic has given all of us an opportunity to reflect and to reprioritize what is important in our lives.  It stopped the hamster wheel of our activities.  We all had to practice the pause.

The quarantine forced us all to stop what we had been doing.  If afforded me the chance to give myself permission to be less of a \"human-doing\" than a human being.  There was no fear of missing out, because no one was going out or doing much of anything.  I became quiet.  I reflected.

I am emerging better than I was before.  I jettisoned things that were no longer serving me.  I organized my home.  I sold or donated things I no longer used.  The internet makes it so easy to find people who can use your things.  Recycle and reuse.  Be kind to the environment.

I used the time during which the world slowed down to fortify relationships that are most important to me.  I learned how to use Zoom and it became an important tool for connecting with others.

How will you emerge better than before?  Will your post-Covid version be a better one than before we entered this dark time?  My wish for the world is that we all continue to grow and that the pandemic served as a wake up call.  Wake up and live, truly live.  Drink fully from the cup of life.

Now that people are emerging from their cocoons and flowers are beginning to push up from the earth, it feels like a fresh beginning.  People are smiling behind their masks.  I can see it in the crinkles near their eyes.  We are blooming once again.
