When you rise up from brokenness and you start stepping into wholeness, keep stepping all the way

One thing is sure, if you have been broken (as many of us could have been at some moment), it is possible to rise up. The first efforts will probably be so tough, but they are worth it.

When you rise up then, no matter what, don't give up on your step. Keeping taking them one at a time. Baby steps or antelope steps, whatever stage of your life it happens to meet you at, just keep stepping.

I am rounding up a week in Accra Ghana where I came to participate in a 3 days orientation program organised by the university of Lancaster where I was admitted as a Commonwealth Scholar. You can read my blog about the experience in Ghana at this link wp.me/p46fnT-31k

Now, had I not sought to rise up after all that brokenness over a decade ago, I wouldn't be who or where I am today. I wouldn't have discovered World Pulse, and amazing sisters like Olutosin, Sophie, Lisbeth, Jill oh I can't name is all. I wouldn't have created an association which at barely 10months of existence has received its first grant from the US Embassy for a one year project. I wouldn't have applied for the commonwealth Long distance scholarship and to the university of Lancaster, hmmmmmmmmm, I may not even have been alive again by now.

Therefore, I chose to pursue wholeness and to keep stepping. I chose to celebrate each step I take and to inspire, motivate and encourage all on my path just like myself. I refuse to dwell on the days when the steps are shaken by any circumstances include my insecurities. I refuse to attend pity parties again and look at any situations I am faced with optimism and as a means to learn and grow.

In a nutshell, I pledge to keep stepping for me and mine - this for me is how I show gratitude to the universe for still letting me occupy some space on planet earth hahahahaha
