She had been married for fifteen years
Her memories included six miscarriages
scars to show the beatings on her skin
A gaze to tell she had had enough
She had finally had 2 babies
The first had been 8
The second just turned 1
But nope she wasn't to survive the abuse
at least not without losing a part of her
Her first baby was raped over and over
By none other that a relative
As if that wasn't enough
The poor child was strangled
until she breathe her last
And when I read of the case
I reached out and offered to help
From both angles I did
Therapy and court with hope
I put dem all facts and evidence together
fasted and prayed and cried
Lord please help us
5 months was all it took
I didn't have to bribe no one
I looked up to the heavens
that day in court
when it was declared over
and her freedom was regained
That renewed my hope
Hope that it is all worth it
The early rises
and the late bedtimes
the long hours in sessions
hugging and wiping tears
Indeed such fill me with so much hope
I really am grateful for all the talents and knowledge I have; do not give up dear sister because #thereishope
Hello Dear Marie,
Wow! You never cease to amaze me... how wonderful that you were able to help her inside the courtroom and out. So, the perpetrator was put in jail, I hope? How is this poor dear now? Please let us know if she would like to join WP, so we can give her extra love. Thanks so much for sharing and for all the love and care that you gave to her and all of us!

Dear Marie,
What an unforgettable difference it must make for this woman who has been through this unthinkably painful time, to have been able to have your support and success in court. I love seeing you here, knowing you are able to do this work. Toward a day that this treatment of women and children is in the past, at least now we have each other, and the court in your country has you.
In sisterhood,
Tam

Hello Marie,
It's not the first time I read a story like yours, and every time I do, it moves me. I keep asking why are there bad people but more than that; I celebrate those that survive and those that extend the help when it seems to be dead-end.
Let's not extinguish the faith to humankind and to God to make victims become survivors, and be full of hope.
Keep writing and sharing your stories to inspire all of us and continue to be the beacon for each other.
❤️

Well done sis. There is indeed, HOPE!
Sis lol,
I am just so grateful to wear so many caps and to be able to help especially my sisters with my skills and talents.
Oh yes she is well into recovery and has moved to a place of her own. Am still working with her and had to recently send a notification before legal pursuit for stalking to that man. But there is hope as you rightly say sis.
You did a great job, Kudos.
