Saludos! I want to share our recently published report 'The Persistence of Indolence: Femicides in Puerto Rico 2014-2018*. I am Mari Mari, the founder and Director of Kilómetro Cero, an NGO in Puerto Rico that fights state violence. Our report is written in Spanish, but if you speak English, you can read the executive summary and also a very thorough article published by The Intercept. Journalist Alleen Brown tells the story of the report and exposes its most disturbing findings. Read it here, help us spread the word and make GBV in the Hispanic Caribbean and the US visible! #IStandWithHer #AgitaYTransforma *The Persistence of Indolence: Femicides in Puerto Rico 2014-2018' was mostly financed by Oxfam America.

This story was submitted in response to #IStandWithHer.

Thank you, Mari, for sharing how research can be used to advocate for solutions to fight gender-based violence. In so many countries state violence disproportionally impacts women and girls. I appreciate the work of Kilometre Cero for advocating for police accountability. Look forward to hearing update in the future about the impact of this report. #IStandWithHer
