As part of the campaign activities we have to sensitise, mobilise and select women who will serve as focal persons in local committees within our community. We had an outreach program at Bali Market which serves as a meeting point for women from all the areas that make up bali subdivision and its environs.
During this activity we didn't only target women we included men girls and a special group the commercial bike riders. These commercial bike riders following our interactions with young girls are the first people initiating young people into risky sexual behaviours
We had 20 one-on-one encounters with women who had particular worries. 8 young people with questions on their sexuality. 5 invitations to visit women' groups in the quarters. 3 invitations for such talks at three neighboring villages. we have received more than 70 sms from the population asking one question or the order.
Many were shy to come sit under the open canopy we provided for one-on-one interactions so we hope to get a tent next time. The videos too had a very good effect on the people which makes it imperative for more videos to be produced.
