Feka the lionness in the forest of social change and women's rights bows out.

Feka Parchibell Nadum the abused little girl and married woman who becomes the voice of the voiceless and a fierce right Activist lives on though physically absent in our mist.

A born leader you are seen in your interactions in school and community life. At GBHS Bamenda you were a classmate full of fun and compassion. This vibe you took to your days as a Modern Letters (ML) student in teacher's training college. You gave out so much laughter and happiness in our mini cite "Nweh" Palace. Interestingly you were making many happy meanwhile you were going through difficult times growing.    Thanks to the space World Pulse gave us later in our lives you were able to share and out grow the pain.

Great sisters of this online community I bring you a Shero who: 1) Has worked tirelessly to preach the gospel of Proper Menstrual Hygiene Management for girls and women Cameroon and beyond. When asked why this passion Feka says it because she used the wrong material as a girl which didn't help but unfortunately fell in front of her family. Instead of getting support she was mocked and stigmatised because of menstruation,  2) Has broken the call for silence and endurance of abuse in marriage by speaking up. A proud mother of 3 kids Feka didn't allow the common justification to violence "I am doing this for my kids" hold her where she was not comfortable and safe anymore. She used her story to sensitize, support and help women and girls to say no to gender based violence. This crusade was the very air Feka breathed. She has been to many communities with her work and has helped many. 3) Has spoken truth to power irrespective of the risk involved. As a peace builder in Cameroon she has addressed all factions involved on different issues. She never stopped telling them how senseless the war is and echoing the importance of a peace negotiation.  4) believes in the strength of sisterhood in the way she supports and motivates others in the work they do. If not all Feka has participated and supported initiatives run by her World Pulse sisters in Cameroon. She has visited World Pulse sisters in Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya. Actually she had planned work with a World Pulse sister in Kenya come January 2022.

Feka my sister I wonder where you got all your energy to remind resilient  and consistent. You remain an inspiration to many. What a daring woman you were? At the peak of violence in one part of the English speaking Regions of Cameroon you got into the bushes to serve women and girls with sanitary napkins just to come back and tell their story of using plants as sanitary napkins. I remember how you have cried for schools to be functional in the conflict areas. You even did community teaching of children  I am filled with pride that I knew you this close though you can give one a heart attack because of your courage and bravery. You remember the day you were arrested by the state forces because of a protest you staged? We feared but you encouraged us and said if you died it was for a good cause.

Why have you left soon without us seeing the end to the injustices you were fighting against. What happens to your plans, the women and girls who look up to you, women peacebuilders in Cameroon and the civil society space.   The fatal accident might have destroyed your physical body but your memory and contribution to meaningful change live on. Rest well my lioness
