Let's re-invent Land!

Story
What is Land? I’m imagining myself driving from Rome to Milan, Tuscany landscape surrounding me, trying out answers.
And yes, land seems to me wonder, and latitude. Thousands year of human hard work and geological texture co-exist on these gently sloping, all-cultivated hills.
A meanings, a meanings and nothing less - this as I pass the imaginary line separating Siena from Florence. A line I sure can’t see, which in the past has seen armies marching in both ways, trumpets aloud, in a try to conquer the land of someone else…
An old land echoing old meanings. Of domination and war, misery, malaria, unnecessary poverty. All these stories still vibrates. Yet none of these once powerful reigns has survived history, while birds continue to fly across the border, totally unaware of it. And as the same air flows like gentle, yet unstoppable, breeze.
Our challenge is, find new meanings for old places. New eyes, to acknowledge the nourishment land gifts us through day to day work and dedication. The supreme beauty no human architect will ever imitate. A new soul, to openly accept and appreciate spaces where nature can exist undisturbed.
A land which is our garden, not just a commodity on sale, or resource.
Land is, I wonder, nothing else, and less, than us.
